The N-332 in the Costa Blanca, Spain, cuts straight through it. Trucks, campervans, tourists heading for Calpe or Altea, nobody stops. We did. The Cañon del Mascarat is one of those places you only know about if someone told you it exists. Narrow paths along limestone walls so close together that the sky above shrinks to a single strip of blue. Quiet, except for the sound of water. Come prepared for some serious scrambling: hands and feet both earn their keep here.
