Castel de Xàtiva has long been on our wishlist. This castle is an extensive medieval complex with Iberian, Roman, and Islamic influences. It is built across two hilltops.
Once at the top, the views are magnificent, but the walk up is demanding because of the steep paths and high steps. Alternatively, it is possible to travel up or down by shuttle bus, the tourist train, or by car.
